Ballast Tank in shipping and logistics
The Commercial vessels are handling many types of cargos and delivered their cargos from origin point to a destination point.
The cargos are loading and discharging at the terminal point ( inside the port).
Ballast Tank Process:
- While the cargos are discharged at the terminal point the vessel should be in an unstable condition at the time for vessel adjustment Purpose load the ballast water at source Port (i.e) load the ballast water into the ballast tank.
- The vessel is in empty condition without handling any cargos but after load ballast water at a source port, the vessel remains in a stable condition.
- After loading the cargos inside the vessel, discharging, ballast water at destination port (i.e) discharge the ballast water into the sea.
- Now the cargos are fully loaded inside the Vessel the ballast tank remains empty at the time of during voyage ( journey).
